KRONE presents new harvesting headers for the BiG X
The EasyFlow Plus and XCollect 750-2 harvesting headers stand out for their high levels of efficiency, harvesting quality and durability – all key factors for achieving maximum productivity and profitability.
Spelle, Germany, October 2026: KRONE is expanding its range of high-performance harvesting headers with the new EasyFlow Plus for grass harvesting and the new two-part XCollect 750-2 for harvesting maize and whole crop silage. Both new developments have been specifically designed to meet the requirements of professional contractors, machinery syndicates and large-scale enterprises and convince with their high levels of efficiency, harvesting quality and operational flexibility. The main focus was to develop innovative solutions to optimise the crop flow and chop quality, while achieving maximum throughput rates, excellent wear resistance and minimal maintenance work. As a result, these two headers ensure the BiG X is even more powerful, efficient and cost-effective when processing grass, maize and whole crop silage.
EasyFlow Plus: clean forage intake and maximum throughput
KRONE has consistently continued to develop the tried and tested concept of the uncontrolled EasyFlow pick-up, releasing the EasyFlow Plus with working widths of 3.0 m and 3.8 m. The centrepiece is still the tine rotor with straight tine arrangement that operates without a cam track, thus ensuring it is particularly wear-resistant and low maintenance. Plastic scrapers on the rotor ensure that crops are scraped off safely and are reliably transferred to the auger conveyor. Paired with a large crop press roller unit and moveable swath deflector sheet, this concept ensures maximum pick-up performance, clean field clearance and a uniform crop flow even when processing large quantities of forage and irregular swaths.
Low maintenance and high wear resistance
A high level of durability was also important to developers. Stainless steel wear plates, that are fitted as standard in the vicinity of the feeder and on the transition to the intake, reliably protect particularly high wear areas from abrasion and are not complicated to replace, if required. The auger conveyor is also fitted with a heavy-duty wear-resistant spiral and double auger spiral. This ensures very quiet running, an even crop flow and maximum throughputs.
Another key aspect is easy maintenance. The automatic chain lubrication along with an actively driven oil pump, two oil brushes and a large oil reservoir guarantee continuous lubrication of all of the drive chains. This not only reduces the amount of maintenance work, but also significantly lowers the amount of component wear.
The drive train and gearbox have also been strengthened to meet the increasing requirements of modern forage harvesters. Combined with the new maintenance-free overload clutch of the auger conveyor, maximum throughputs are being achieved whilst simultaneously ensuring a high level of operational safety.
XCollect 750-2: Reliable in any position and guarantees the best chop quality
The new, two-part XCollect 750-2 harvesting header operates independently of rows based on the tried and tested XCollect principle. During this process, plants over a working width of 7.5 m are fed to the forage harvester in a straight line running in a longitudinal direction without any deflections or additional transfer points. The resulting even crop flow improves the chop quality, reduces the proportion of excess lengths and creates the best conditions for a high throughput. At the same time, the system guarantees a reliable harvest even under difficult conditions, such as lodged maize.
Fast rotating sickle discs guarantee a low vibration free cut. The separation of the cutting and conveying drive is particularly innovative. This ensures that the rotational speed of the sickle discs can be adapted independently to the relevant harvesting conditions (e.g. weed infestation or falling cobs). Star ratchet clutches reliably protect the individual sickle discs from overloading. The rotational speed of the discs is also continuously monitored and displayed on the forage harvester terminal.
Optionally includes an integrated running gear and comfort front guard to ensure safe transport on the road
Despite its size, the XCollect 750-2 can be folded to a transport width of just 3.0 m. The machine thus combines a high acreage output with excellent transport capacity. The XCollect 750-2 also has an optionally integrated transport chassis to relieve the load on the front axle of the forage harvester and ensure legal specifications relating to the axle load are observed. An integrated comfort front guard with lighting, which automatically secures the header during the folding process, is also available as an option. This helps to save time when switching fields, while also increasing safety when travelling on the road.
Conclusion: With the EasyFlow Plus and XCollect 750-2, KRONE has presented two high-performance headers suitable for different harvesting process on the KRONE BiG X forage harvester. The EasyFlow Plus has been specifically developed to harvest grass and convinces with high pick-up rates, an even crop flow and minimal maintenance requirements. The XCollect 750-2, on the other hand, with its row-independent harvesting principle, straight crop flow and easy transportability is setting new standards when it comes to harvesting maize and whole crop silage. Both of these new developments embody the consistent further development of KRONE forage harvester technology to increase power, efficiency and profitability.
