Owner of a Swadro 810 and a Swadro 900

David Hedrick and his son-in-law Josh Koontz grow fescue and orchard grass hay on 165 acres. They produce both round and square bales. Krone hay equipment has been David’s first choice for many years, which made it an easy choice when he was looking for a new rake. David explains, “Our cutters and tedders are all Krone products, so it just made good sense for Krone to be our rotary rake manufacturer as well.”

Time is a very important factor for David and Josh, who both work full time jobs at their family owned business. According to David, “Time was of the essence and good, clean windrows mandatory. Having owned wheel rakes and v-rakes, we found Krone rotary rakes to supply both needs. We have two rakes in our operation, a side discharge Swadro 810 capable of one or two windrows, and a center discharge Swadro 900.”
