Staff Accountant
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Department: Accounting
Reports To: Controller
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: Support the Controller by carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Department.
Duties and Responsibilies include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Execute mid-level general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and data verification.
2. Review corporate expenses to assign account numbers and details required for entry into ERP system.
3. Assist with the month-end closing process, including the accurate preparation of journal entries and closing of wholesale operations.
4. Help manage expense reporting software to ensure all company credit card expenses are accurately posted and reported.
5. Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
6. Work in a cooperative manner with all Krone NA employees to resolve any accounting-related issues that may arise.
7. Domestic & international travel is infrequent, but required.

Language Abilities: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as general knowledge of ERP systems.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance from four-year college or university; or one to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
• SAP experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license with insurable history. Valid Passport for International Travel.
