Krone Agricultural Machinery Has a 25% Growth in Sales
Spelle, Germany - For the first time in the company’s history, the Krone Agricultural Machinery division exceeds €500 million, achieving record sales of €512 million (from previous €410 million). That translates in a 25% growth. The Spelle factory produced more than 20,000 units of equipment in the past fiscal year. A total of 33% of this equipment was sold on the German market, 35% in central Europe, 17% in Eastern Europe and 15% in the overseas markets (including the US, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and China).
“An increasing number of farmers and contractors around the world opt in to Krone because of our innovative products and our first-class service,” comments Managing Partner Bernard Krone, he continues: “For example, our lines of innovative equipment scooped one gold medal and four silver medals at last Agritechnica – an outstanding achievement that reflects Krone’s immense expertise in tech forage making sector.”
The invested volume bears evidence of the company’s continued course for growth. For example, in Krone North America invested in two further operations in California and Wisconsin. About €3 million were spent on an ultra-modern training center and another €2.6 million in a new logistics center at the home site in Spelle, Germany. “These investments set us on the course to further growth in an environment where a rapidly growing world population is demanding high-quality food and powerful farm machinery to suit. We are determined to take continued advantage of these opportunities and therefore anticipate for the current fiscal year that these results will consolidate at a high level and sales to increase about €520 million,” forecasts Bernard Krone.
