Meet the BiG MAN Demo Tour
The Meet the BiG MAN tour has begun! Krone is partnering with MAN and Busatis to bring you the new generation BiG X demo tour across the Western United States. This tour will specifically feature the new generation BiG X 700 and BiG X 1100. The EasyFlow 3801 hay head will be used first in winter forage and the EasyCut 903 and EasyCut 753 head will be used during corn season.
During the next six months, Benedikt will be traveling through the Western United States to show the new features of the BiG X while performing demos. Benedikt will start out in California’s Central Valley chopping winter forage during April. Then he will travel to Texas, Colorado and Idaho to chop alfalfa and triticale, among other crops. Once corn season gets here, he will travel to the same states, plus Washington and Oregon, to chop corn. During the month of April you can contact Pioneer Equipment in Turlock, Bakersfield, or Five Points to see where and when the upcoming demos will be held.
Benedikt Schäfers has come from Spelle, Germany to be the operator for the Meet the BiG MAN tour. After graduating from college with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Benedikt began working in the sales promotion department at Krone. Running this tour will not be the first time Benedikt has worked on farms abroad. He has had the opportunity to work on farms in Canada and throughout Europe including France, Ireland, England and Romania. “I have always enjoyed the time abroad. I am really looking forward to this coming summer to be able to get to know the American way of life and especially to show you the new Krone BiG X chopper in action,” explains Benedikt.
Krone is excited to have the partnership of MAN and Busatis for this tour. The new generation BiG X features the MAN engine, which increases the power and efficiency of the machine while still maintaining low fuel consumption. Busatis is the manufacturer of the high density parts on the BiG X, such as the accelerator paddles, shear bar, and knives. These high density parts reduce maintenance costs by increasing the lifespan of wear parts.
