Spelle, Germany - A new BiG X forager harvester is being tested. This forager is designed to meet the requirements of North American farmers and also European contractors too. This machine is equipped with two synchronized six-cylinder engines, and achieves maxiumum power rating of around 1,000 HP. To achieve even higher productivity from this machine a larger corn header has been developed with 14 rows and a working width of 10.50m (34’).

Krone has also developed an entirely new Whole-Crop header for the BiG X forager. This header has a working width of 6.20m (20’). It is based on the Krone EasyCut disc mower series and uses a fully welded and enclosed cutterbar to cut the crop and delivery auger to move the crop into the feedrolls. Krone intends to broaden the harvesting applications of the BiG X forager that will increase the profitability and harvesting spectrum for the users. Krone will use this harvesting season to test and evaluate this Whole-Crop header throughout Europe.
